International partnership for Interreg Baltic Sea Region Project Network aims to connect Baltic Sea regions via hydrogen aviation.
In order to improve energy efficiency and reduce the costs of electricity consumption, Poznań-Ławica Airport has undertaken the implementation of a 3.99 MW photovoltaic farm, using undeveloped land in the restricted part of the airport for this purpose. Thanks to the support received from European Union funds, we are trying to have a positive impact on the environment by decarbonizing the aviation sector.
The implementation of the Project supports the safety of air transport. The aim of the Project is to improve the level of safety of air operations and passengers, to improve the airport area protection system, and to increase the capabilities of airport security services (e.g. shortening the time of arrival at the place of the incident and shortening the time of intervention), which will allow maintaining the standards required by aviation regulations for the airport.
The past thirteen years have been a period of intensive infrastructure development for the Poznań airport. Poznań-Ławica Airport has planned and implemented a number of investments as part of ongoing projects that have received funding from European Union aid funds. Our ambition is to continue our development with particular emphasis on improving the comfort and safety of both Passengers and the flight operations themselves.
The entire project is intended to improve the security system at Poznań-Ławica Airport in connection with the systematically increasing air traffic. The acquired technical means will be used to maintain the standards required by the relevant regulations.
The security control zone is a special place at the airport – it requires efficient and professional service to maintain safety standards while minimizing passenger discomfort.
Airport maintenance services ensure that the runway and aprons are always prepared for the operational servicing of aircraft – especially in winter, when unfavourable weather conditions can pose a challenge to the safety and timeliness of flight operations.
The Airport Rescue and Firefighting Service ensures fire safety using specialist vehicles to carry out rescue and firefighting operations at the airport.
