Increasing the security of the operational zone

Airport maintenance services ensure that the runway and aprons are always prepared for the operational servicing of aircraft – especially in winter, when unfavourable weather conditions can pose a challenge to the safety and timeliness of flight operations.

Thanks to support from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027 Programme, it will be possible to purchase modern equipment at the Poznań airport to maintain the operational safety of the ground movement area, thanks to which passengers and airlines will gain the confidence that their flights will operate on time even in difficult weather conditions.

The project includes the phased purchase and delivery of the following equipment:

2 airfield sweepers
2 airfield sweepers with tractors
1 airfield sweeper
1 friction tester

The implementation of the Project will contribute to increasing the efficiency of the Poznań-Ławica Airport equipment in terms of the safety of the airport’s operational zone.
