ATTENTION

The works will last until the end of May 2025 and may cause temporary difficulties in moving around the airport and extended check-in times.

ATTENTION!Passenger path update – progress of modernization works

Updated: 28th February 2025

As previously announced, we would like to inform you about the next important changes related to the progress of modernization works at our Airport and changes in the organization of the passenger path:

Thank you for your understanding and patience and we apologize for any inconvenience.
If there is anything you think we can do differently or better, please let us know at [email protected]

New passage in the Departures Terminal

Today, a new passage was launched from the Main Entrance to the Departures Hall, leading further to the Check-In Hall and then to the Arrivals Hall. As a result, the previous passage through the main entrance hall has been closed.

Recommendations regarding entrances

We still recommend using the entrances located in the central, glass-covered part of the terminal, directly in front of the Check-In desks.

Change of parking rules in front of the Terminal

To increase the comfort of passengers arriving by vehicle, the ban on stopping on the road in front of the recommended entrances will be maintained until further notice. Drivers can stop there for a maximum of 2 minutes.

Path to reach service points

The path to reach service points located at the main entrance to the Departure Hall remains unchanged, such as:

Passenger Services:
– Welcome Airport Service ticket office,
– Airline Service travel agency,
– Apcoa Parking office,
– Holiday Service travel agency.

Rent-a-Car:
Partners: Carwiz, Interfleet, Ace, Car Net, Flex to go, Odkryj Auto, Panek, MagRent, Auto Union, Add Car, Sur Price.

We will keep you updated on any further possible changes. Thank you for your understanding and we wish you a pleasant journey!

Recommended time of arrival at the airport

Updated: 3th February 2025

Due to the ongoing investments in the passenger terminal, we would like to provide further information regarding the ongoing modernization works, which are aimed at improving the comfort and safety of travelers. The current investment includes the modernization of the terminal, including check-in and security control systems, and providing you with a completely new commercial and service offer!

Thank you for your understanding and patience and we apologize for any inconvenience.

If there is anything you think we can do differently or better, please let us know at [email protected]

What does the investment plan look like?
The works are being carried out in stages to have the least impact on the operation of the airport. This includes, among others:
– Reconstruction of the Departure Hall in the place where the queue for security control was previously located,
– Modernization of security checkpoints,
– Opening a completely new commercial zone after modernization.
– Check-in time and suggested arrival time:

Under normal conditions, we recommend arriving at the airport:
– Domestic flights: 1.5 hours before departure,
– International flights: 2 hours before departure.

Typical service time includes registration (check-in), security check and possible passport control. What to look out for? Please be especially vigilant and plan your arrival in advance. It may happen that the time to go through security check due to the currently conducted, crucial works in the Security Control Zone itself may currently be longer than usual, and some areas of the airport will be temporarily out of use.

What can happen?
– Longer queues for check-in and control are possible,
– Changes in the organization of passenger traffic at the airport,
– Temporary closures of some service points.

When is it best to arrive earlier?
We recommend arriving at least 30–60 minutes earlier than usual, especially if:
– The journey takes place during rush hours (morning and evening),
– The passenger has checked baggage,
– The journey is to countries in Non-Schengen, which means passport control is required,
– You are travelling in a group,
– On the first flight from this airport.

We especially recommend verifying the number of planes departing at the same time as your flight. If there are not many of them, you should not expect difficulties, however, if there are several other departures during the hours (+/- 2h) of the flight, then we recommend arriving at the airport earlier.

We are making every effort to ensure that the modernization runs smoothly and that your journey is as comfortable as possible, and we will keep you informed about any changes on an ongoing basis.

Modernisation / Check-in and Security Check

Updated: 9th January 2025

The modernization of the airport is entering a critical moment of changes in the Central Security Control Zone and the related process of relocating security control devices.

Due to this fact, from January 9, 2025, we ask that passengers arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before their planned departure! We apologize for the inconvenience and will make every effort to ensure that during this transitional period the reconstruction of our infrastructure has the least possible impact on your service.

Original news from 5th December 2024

The infrastructure reconstruction and the implementation of high-tech baggage screening equipment will allow us to reduce the waiting time for security screening and thus improve the comfort of our passengers.

Due to construction works, from 6 December 2024 we are obliged to decommission the eastern entrance to the terminal (from the side of the VIP lounge and ‘yellow suitcase’) and the lift leading to the mezzanine.

All entrances from Bukowska Street remain available for use.

The access to the entresol is via an escalator located next to the entrance to the security control area.

The works will not affect the airport’s daily operations, we still recommend arriving at the airport 2 hours before your scheduled departure.
