Capital of the North
Stockholm is the largest city in Scandinavia. It is inhabited by almost 1.5 million people, which is every sixth inhabitant of the country. The city is located on 14 islands, which are connected by over 50 bridges.

Royal Palace
Built on the island of Stadsholmen, in the Gamla Stan district. The palace serves representative functions – all official ceremonies take place here. Free admission to museums
Many of the over 100 local museums are free to enter for a few hours a week. For example: The Armoury is free to visit every Thursday after 5 p.m., and the Museum of Architecture on Fridays between 4 and 7 p.m. Before visiting a given museum, it is worth checking whether such free entry is possible.
Public transport in Stockholm

Stockholm Skavsta Airport
Stockholm Skavsta Airport (IATA code: NYO, OACI: ESKN) is actually located in the municipality of Nyköping, about 100 km from Stockholm. There are buses and trains between the city and the airport, and the journey takes just over an hour.
