Tourist attractions in Brussels

The biggest attraction and hallmark of Brussels is the Atomium – a model of an iron crystal magnified 150 billion times over 100 meters high. It was built for the World Expo in 1958.

Important points of a trip to Brussels should be, among others: the Grand Place with the Gothic Town Hall (Hotel de Ville), St. Michael and St. Guduli on the Treurenberg hill, and a figurine of a peeing boy – Manneken Pis (a bronze fountain, which is a symbol of the city).

It is also worth visiting EU institutions, a conservatory and research institutes, universities and numerous museums: cocoa and chocolate, brewing, film, comics, toys, fine arts and musical instruments.
