Getting there from the airport
EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg serves the city and region. The city is approximately 5-6 km from the terminal; bus line 50 runs, reaching Basel SBB station in about 15-20 minutes.
Local transport
Trams, buses, and river ferries – very well-developed public transport. Additionally, with the BaselCard, you get free public transport and discounted admission to attractions.
When to go
The best times are spring, summer, and early autumn – the weather is perfect for walks, outdoor events, and outdoor life along the Rhine. In winter, there are atmospheric Christmas markets and fewer crowds.
