Improving the protection system
The implementation of the Project supports the safety of air transport.
The aim of the Project is to improve the safety level of air operations and passengers, to improve the airport security system, as well as to increase the capabilities of airport security services (e.g. shortening the time of arrival to the scene and the intervention time), which will allow to maintain the standards required by aviation regulations for the airport.
The following investments are carried out under the Project:
1. Building a patrol road
The investment enables regular journeys of patrol vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and occasional journeys of heavy airport equipment up to 35 tonnes.
2. Purchase and installation of the airport surface protection system:
- integrated radar and camera unit,
- intrusion detection system – integrated perimeter protection system.
